The College of Printmedia Technologies is the only educational institution in the Republic of Kazakhstan that trains highly qualified specialists for the printing industry in the specialty "Marketing", "Management", "Cinematography", "Graphic and multimedia design", "Technology of printing and packaging production", "Publishing", "Operation, maintenance and repair of equipment printing production", qualifications: "Marketer", "Manager", "Video editor", "Graphic designer", "Technician-technologist", "Operator of prepress processes", "Seller", "Operator of printing machines", "Installer of printing production equipment", "Operator of bookbinding machines", "Mechanic technician", "Bookbinder", "Copywriter", "Photographer".

The college employs an experienced teaching staff. For conducting training sessions, the workshops and classrooms of the college are equipped with modern technological equipment, multimedia systems and personal computers. The college has an electronic library, the students of our college are provided with a hostel and free meals.

The college's foreign relations are expanding. So, in order to exchange experiences, the director of the college Akhmetov B.A. traveled to France, where he visited the GLAUDEGARAMONT College of Graphic Art in Paris. The director of the college also signed agreements with Moscow Polytechnic University, St. Petersburg University of Industrial Technologies and Design, Novosibirsk Institute of Technology (branch) of the Federal State Budgetary educational institution of Higher Education "Kosygin Russian State University (Technologies. Design. Art)", with the Kazakh National Technical University on the continuation of post-college education on a budgetary basis, on joint activities and bilateral exchange of experience in the field of pedagogical activity.

Academic mobility programs for students and engineering staff of the college have been established. Starting in 2018, the Shanghai College of Publishing and Printing invites college students to undergo technological internship at its base under the academic mobility program for students in the following specialties: 02110400 - Publishing, 02110100 - Cinematography, 02110500 - Printing and Packaging technology. In 2023, 10 college teachers completed an internship abroad as part of the implementation of the program for the formation of the republican personnel reserve "1000 leaders of changes in education". The internship took place full-time on the basis of the Printing Equipment Concern Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (FWB: HDDG) / Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany with German experts in the amount of 108 hours.

A dual training system has been introduced on the basis of the educational printing house, which is designed to provide high-quality training of specialists. The advantage of dual training is to ensure a high percentage of graduates' employment, as training is as close as possible to the demands of production.

The College of Printmedia Technologies is the focal point of the industry cluster of training, retraining, advanced training and certification of personnel for publishing houses and the printing industry. Employers consistently give high marks to the quality of professional training at the College of Printmedia Technologies. These are large, developing enterprises — the Republican publishing and Printing complex "Dauir", the Atamura Corporation, the publishing and printing corporation "Alatau" and private printing houses — "Aleyron", "Edelweiss", "Format" and many others. From modest regional printing houses to the flagships of the Kazakh printing industry, this is the range of labor participation of college graduates.
